Laser vaginal tightening is applied with Fotona Smooth Laser working with Er:YAG technology in our clinic.
IntimaLase®, a feature of Fotona Smooth Laser, offers a highly effective and safe option among laser vaginal rejuvenation procedures. The indication for IntimaLase is vaginal relaxation syndrome in which the natural structural form of the vagina is lost. This condition is usually associated with older age or excessive stretching of the vaginal canal during childbirth. Clinical studies have shown that IntimaLase is an efficient, easy to perform and safe procedure.
IntimaLase® is a unique Er:YAG laser therapy for non-invasive photothermal tightening of the vaginal canal. With patented ER:YAG laser technology, it heats the vaginal tissue with special beams with wavelength adjusted (2940 nm). This stimulation produces more collagen in the vaginal walls, as well as causes the tissue to heal itself, creating a tighter, younger feeling in the vaginal area. IntimaLase™, a non-ablative, minimally invasive procedure with Er:YAG, also offers a safer, faster and more patient-friendly solution that prevents unwanted complications seen with other vaginal tightening methods. Clinical results show that the vaginal canal is tightened, sexual satisfaction is increased and there is a significant improvement in the patient’s quality of life.
95% of patients rated the change in vaginal tightness as strong or moderately improved after IntimaLase treatment. Patient satisfaction was also reported as 97%. Clinical results prove that
Photona Laser IntimaLase treatment, which is fast-acting and easy to perform, is an effective, non-invasive procedure with no unwanted side effects or contraindications.
Vaginal tightening treatment with Fotona Smooth Laser takes between 20-30 minutes. It is generally a painless procedure and does not require anesthesia. Some patients may experience mild pain, burning or itching at the entrance to the vagina during application, but is generally well tolerated and does not exceed 24 hours. No ongoing or persistent post-treatment pain has been reported. You should not have a urinary tract infection during the application, be pregnant and have a disease that causes chronic cough in order to observe the effectiveness of the treatment. The process is not applied while menstruating. Beforehand, you must have a PAP smear test performed within the last year and with a normal result. Apart from this, no special pre-operative preparation or post-operative precautions are required and there is no need to use antibiotics after the procedure. There is no visible damage to the tissue, blood loss or surgical intervention. Two or three sessions are recommended, usually once a month.
Without a recovery period, patients can continue their daily lives immediately after Fotona Laser application. After treatment, sexual intercourse is not recommended for one week. Although a watery discharge may be seen during this process, this is temporary.
